On Monday, February 9, 2026 the Marshall County School District will have a professional development day for all staff. We will reassess road conditions on Monday, with plans for students to return on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Parents will receive more information regarding school reopening and after school activities. February 16, 2026 and April 6, 2026 will be scheduled makeup days for students and staff.
The Marshall County School District will be closed Thursday (2/5/26) and Friday (2/6/26) due to dangerous road conditions and power outages. We continue to pray for communities and families impacted by this storm.

January 23, 2026–In advance of the inclement weather event, we wanted to make you aware the Marshall County School District is actively monitoring the situation. Mary Reid and Potts Camp schools are planning to have a regular school day tomorrow, April 4, 2025. We will be monitoring the weather throughout the night, and we will let you know if anything changes.

All Marshall County Schools, other than H.W. Byers, will operate on a 2 hour delay on April 3, 2025. We will continue to monitor the weather and make a different decision if necessary. H.W. Byers will be closed today.
